in north carolina, the camera will click when the light is a steady red, then you will get a ticket in the mail with both the steady red light and the vehicle crossing the stop line(the white line at the intersections). if the light is a steady yellow
when the front tires cross the line the camera won't click you but may mistake you for someone who has and is next to you
or right behind you. the best way to keep from being in this situation is to anticipate the yellow and if it is safe to stop, just stop. you will never have to ask this question again.

Traffic control device if you accelerate to get past the yellow that is unsafe use of a car. And the traffic cop will give you a ticket. If your cautious and brake light are on going thru the intersection the cop may not give you a ticket. Acceleration at a traffic control device to beat the red will only place others jumping the green light in danger smashing right into there drivers door. please be safe don't race around traffic lights.

Wrong. If you enter an intersection on a yellow light, you will be getting a ticket in the mail if there is a camera, or the red and blue lights will be in you mirror if an officer sees you. If you are IN the intersection when it turns, you are okay.

If the light turns red when you're still in the intersection, you can technically get a ticket.

It depends what state you were in. Some states have different laws than others. If you sped up to get through that light you could be found guilty but if you remained the same speed and just cruised through you are innocent.
