The dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charolette gave her the name Elizabeth Taylor. I love that episode it is so sweet.

It's a King Charles Spaniel. Basically it got it's name from King Charles II ( 1630-1685).They have always been a very popular dog in England, but caught on here after Sex in the City. They are wonderful dogs, very friendly, but unfortunatly can end up with heart murmurs and not have long lives.
