1. 4 titles in 9 years,

2. winningest team in the last 10 years in all of sports

3. Undefeated in the Finals.

4. they have three all-stars

Look back in the history of the NBA, and see how many teams can check everyone of the points off the list.

I am a Bulls fan, always have been always will be, but they never were the winningest team the ten year span, or for that matter a the 9 year span.

Only in the eyes of the Spurs fans (and unfortunately for me I live in South Texas where a vast majority of people, including family members are Spurs fans)

First of all, they are not even a dynasty...literally.
One definition of a dynasty (according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary) is defined as a powerful group or family that maintains its position for a considerable time. If you consider being the NBA champions FOR JUST 1 YEAR at a time, then every team that has won an NBA would be considered a dynasty...

But lets be real...a 'considerable time' is more than 1 year...the Spurs cannot even defend their title the following year after winning it...matter of fact they couldn't even make it to the Western Conference finals to defend their Western Conference title after winning the NBA title.

They lose their position as NBA World champions (as well as Western Conference Champions) the following year, hence they are not a Dynasty.

One could probably agree to be considered one of the best teams of all time, they should probably be a dynasty. If you do compare the Spurs to say the 94-95 Houston Rockets or 89-90 Detroit Pistons, you are more likely be comparing apples to oranges, because they've done something the Spurs has yet to do...defend their title successfully...

As much as I hate the Spurs, I will say they are a very good team, but no way in the category of best of all time.

Yeah, why not? The only thing they have yet to accomplish is a 70 win season. But, then again, only one team has done that. These Spurs have to be included in the top 10 of the greatest NBA teams of all time along with the 1950's Lakers, the 1960's Celtics, 1980's Lakers and Celtics, 1990's Pistons and Bulls, the 93-95 Rockets, and the 1990-2000's Lakers. The Knicks of the early 70's also won multiple titles, so did the Warriors in 1947 and 1956. Tim Duncan should be considered a top 10 player of all time as well, not for his stats, but for being a winner.

Yes... They wouldn't be first, but definitely in the top 10 greatest dynasties.
1. 1957-1969 Boston Celtics
2. 1991-1998 Chicago Bulls
3. 1949-1954 Minneapolis Lakers
4.1980-1988 Los Angeles Lakers
5. 1981-1986 Boston Celtics
6. 1989-1990 Detroit Pistons
7. 1927-1928 Original Celtics
8. 1999-Present San Antonio Spurs
9. 2000-2002 Los Angeles Lakers
10. 2004-2005 Detroit Pistons
The Spurs have a great lineup and enough star power to compete with some of the best all-time teams.

Celtics back in the day don't really count in my book. Like Spurs asterisk in '99 there should be an asterisk there too. There was only 9 teams back then and all the best players played for the Celtics. That's not much of a challenge. This Spurs team right now should be considered top 3 or 4 of all time. Incredibly great defense, no team can stop the big 3, and the team is surrounded by fantastic role players and shooters like Horry, Finley, and Barry.

Yes they are good but better than these three teams mentioned below. I don't think so.

As opposed to the Chicago Bulls who won six titles in eight years, the Los Angeles Lakers who won five titles in eight years or the Boston Celtics who won 11 championships rings in 13 years.

I think they are one of the few teams who won 4 or more championship rings. Other teams are the 60s celtics, the bulls, and the lakers. If they win another ring or more, they will definitely go down and get remembered as one of the best teams of all time.

if they can get a back to back championship, which they have never done, then yes; but until then, theyre just a great team
im sick and tired of hearing this bullshit about them being a dynasty
dynasties are consistent over a period of time
if an all star scored 20 points 4 out of 9 nights, does that make them consistent?
nope

The first three were good, the last one was reached through cheating. But yes, they will go down as one of the best sports team of all time.

But they have failed to defend their championships the following year. A great team, but a repeat would probably move them to that list of one of the best teams.
