If your player has a USB connector you may be able to lift the tracks direct from the player but you will have to search for conversion software to convert to MP3 or CDA format your computer will work with. Otherwise you will have to record from the headphone output in real time.

You need an MD player and a compatable input to your computer really. Most modern PC's will have a line in minijack input.

You then need software to record the input. I would personally buy the quicktime pro license (£20) within which you can specify the codec, sample rate and compression depth (44.1khz, 16bit AIFF for mac WAV for PC)

Play from your MD, record from the soundcard in QTPRO
convert to the format of your choice on itunes then enjoy.

If your mini-disc player is sony, the software on your computer for it will let you export the whole disc (or individual songs) to a folder on your computer. (At least, the software that came with mine did...) Then just burn a disc from file. If you don't have the software, sony's website used to have downloads for it. (Not sure about now, though. Sorry!)
