they are holding the asterisks because of barry bonds and how many people believe he uses steroids and thinks there should be an asterisk in front of his single-season home run record and potentially the all time home run record. And Ortiz was ejected because he argued the call and he was ejected for throwing his helmet and his bat

Extremely funny how people cannot spell Asterisk..... I see "astriks" and "asteriks" mostly from the uneducated that hate Barry Bonds. Even Barry can spell better than those retards!
Actually these people are stupid because even though if the HR total has an asterisk on paper, it still means that the HR's are legitimate!

Yes, he got ejected for throwing his helmet. It happens, throw your helmet and you'll probably get ejected. I've seen it done plenty of times. Next time wait til you are in the dugout, don't do it on the field.
