the bill like he promised. I bought him the cell before we split, we had been together for years or I would never have bought him a cell. Can I report the phone stolen so I can have it cut off without the penalty of having it cut off? I don't know what my options are.

if you do that and are found out by the cops it was a lie you can get arrested for filing a false report. you would have to report it to the police before the phone company would shut the phone off. just call the phone company and have them shut the phone off and pay the penalty. it will be a lot cheaper then having your x run up big phone bills!!!

I definitely believe you shouldn't lie. You do have the option of canceling the contract with a fee. Good Luck!
