We've all been there. I had so many crushes on boys when I was in high school. I had a tendency to fall for guys who didn't know I existed! Unrequited love isn't really love. Infatuations can be so intense that they feel like love but when you don't really know the person & they don't feel the same way about you it can never develop into a true love relationship.

If it's not meant to be then just let it go. If he doesn't feel the same way about you then it's his loss. You will find the right one someday & you will both be madly in love with each other. For now, he has his crushes & you have yours. It is a phase & you will outgrow it. I promise.

It wasn't until many years later that I learned what true love was. You are likely not in love with your friend nor is he in love with this other girl because you can not really be in love with someone who doesn't love you, someone you are not in a relationship with.

If you really like this guy, be his friend. If it's meant to be then maybe some day it may develop into more, but don't be upset if it doesn't happen. There are other fish in the sea.

Take care.
:)

Well if this girl already has a boyfriend Al's fair. I'd first let her know that this guy has a thing for her, and then see if she's into him, if not go for it !! This guy probably has no clue that you like him, men are stupid when it comes to things like that, maybe if you tell a girlfriend to let it slip out he'll get the idea and see where it goes from there. Men are not good at playing games, if you like him your gonna have to let him know, because he'll never figure it out not if you've known him since sixth grade, he probably thinks your just a friend. If the above doesn't, get one of your friends to say, " I just heard that ****** likes you, " do you like her? Make like you have no idea that this friend is going to say this, set this up ahead of time, hopefully your not around when this is said, but if you are act embarrassed.

Tell him how you feel, tell her how he feels about her and get some kind certainty. It's that or live with the doubt of what could have been or worse, finding someone and then double your trouble if your boy friend looks you up after.
