Main thing is-he's incredibly talented. He can carry off The Spanish Prisoner as well as The Jerk. I like that he keeps his personal life fairly private-at least for Hollywood standards. They say he's not very friendly. He doent have to be. As long as he keeps making good movies, I'll continue to be a fan.

Apart from being an absolute comedy genius, Steve Martin carried so many cult films - The Jerk; The Man With Two Brains, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Roxanne... my own personal fave is Little Shop of Horrors where he appears as a sleazy dentist - truly inspired casting.
Come on everyone "YOU'LL BE A DENTIST...YOU HAVE A KNACK FOR CAUSING THINGS PAIN"
The strange thing is - my own dentist (nice guy) rides a motorbike and has a little room that is visible when you're in the chair having your teeth checked - scary but true - and you've gotta ask yourself - can he do Elvis impressions as well as Stevie boy?

I do..he is funny and a pretty good actor. Just his charcter in the movies he has been in has been pretty good.
