you definatley dont have enough ram. 358 is an odd number. What you should do is go to www.crucial.com and run their online scanner to see what you have and it will tell you what you need.

you didn't give age and model of you model so we can't guess what RAm it uses. If your notebook is less than 2 years old you maybe using DDR-2 which is cheap at the moment. DDR is a bit more expensive but still very good price.
358mb sound odd. Either your PC is using the some main RAM for video or you have 1x 128 and 1x 256 already. Most notebook only have 2 slots so you may have to throw away one module when upgareing.
If your notebook uses shared video RAm then no matter how much RAM you put in it is not recommended to play games on it.

RAM increases will only help when you have insufficient RAM. 384 MB is fairly light so I suspect additional RAM will help.

Go to your pc maker's web site and get the data on your pc (make and serial # should be all you need to fill in). It will tell you the max for your machine, the type of memory and probably how to install it. Shop around to see what it will cost in your area. If you are careful and can follow instructions, you should be able to install it yourself.
