the light cancels out the light
that's why we see the stars at night.
like everything comes from nothing,
so God said "Let there be Light"-
was he/she in total darkness?

that made me ask, if we cant travel at the speed of light,
can we travel on the speed of darkness?

all i know, without each another, neither exists.
:-)

Yes darkness can be a source of light. Not only can darkness be a source of light, darkness contains light! This is how certain animals have night vision. Their eyes are able to pick up on the tiniest particles of light in the darkness to help them to see at night. Light also is a source for darkness, and contains darkness! The trouble with all this is that people what to separate the two! You can not. each is a part of the other, therefor light and dark are one in the same. Whether an individual is seeing or experiencing one or the other depends on that individuals perception at the time of viewing!

There was poem that some one sent me once light breaks where no sun shines. The person that sent it to is still in the dark in his life in his relationships career etc...I believe that a great darkness can make you see the light if you are willing to go through the darkness where ever you may be in that darkness and get your self out of it & of course this is more easily said then done! Sometimes you meet a person that can bring you into their darkness and learn from it where your bright light which always shined but got the lost in the darkness can come back if you are willing to find that source of light that was in you to begin :))

Yes. If you mentally are in darkness, because of a tragedy, or some kind of misfortune, then the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel would apply. If you have reached bottom, the only way is up.

I think it can be. Stop and think about this in a literal sense. It's easier to see in the dark if you are in the dark. When you stand in places of light, you can't see into the dark. This can be applied in a figurative sense as well.

of course. without darkness, we would never know light. but taking that a step beyond the normal realm, we can use the darkness to an advantage...our senses become more acute with darkness. close your eyes and CONCENTRATE-pay attention to the way your other senses adjust. using that, we learn about ourselves in a new and deeper way. therefore we can find our own light by simply using the darkness to focus on ourselves.

All things have an opposite, so it only makes sense that through darkness light is found. If you were in light you would not be searching for it for who would continue to look for something that is already found?

Metaphorically speaking, I believe it can be.

Dark moments in life, often breed the brightest ideas, realizations and rationalizations.

When we are at our worst, we sometimes rise to become the best.

thus from the darkness, light is found.
