You aren't supposed to hold them for about a WEEK. You need to let them adjust. Your hamster needs to get to know you. Everyday you should talk to it and if you blast your radio all the time, you might wanna not do that for a while until it calms down. Every day you should get a sunflower seed or something and stick it throught the cage for the hamster so it gets used to your smell.

Your hamster should calm down soon I know it's hard especially if you have a teddy bear hamster but to keep them in the cage they need to get familiar with there surroundings then in a couple days let her know your sent and she will calm down in no time be gentle when you hold her for the next 2 weeks especially.
Good luck!

the bigger the hamsters are, the more obediant they are.....

I used to have a small teddy bear hamster named koko and she bit me the first few days i had her. she was really tiny and she'd sqirm every where around my hand . Then i bot those sphere things for her and she went every where without climbing all over my hand.

Later , i got a bigger teddy bear hamster. He squirmed a lot less and never bit me.

i guess u have to wait till ur hamster grows bugger and older.... mean while let it get used to u.

don't pick him up at first he is scared. just put your hand in teh cage and let him get use to it you can also hand feed him treats to learn your scent and learn teh hand isn't goint to hurt him.Do this for aobut a week. the next week try to pick him up but stay in the cage. the next week take out of teh cage for a short time and tehnm slowly increase the time.
