Most freshwater fish would die if you tried it. They can't handle living in that concentration of salt.
The only ones that would be able to do this would really be fish that are sold as freshwater but are really brackish fish (and only if you increase the amount of salt they live in slowly.
I've done this with guppies and mollies.

Generally no, though some brackish fish will live in salt if slowly acclimated, but not comfortably, it would be like moving an Eskimo to the Sahara.
The question needs to be asked though, why? When there are literally thousands of kinds of saltwater fish?
Alternatively do like i have and buy more tanks! (I'm on 17 now!)

it seems you didnt know what freshwater and saltwater means, there is a reason that they two groups are distingished from each other, no matter what you do, the 2 types of fish cannot live together, a freshwater fish cannot live in saltwater nor can a saltwater fish live in a freshwater environment, those groups of fish diverged millions/billions of years ago.
its just like you drinking saltwater, can you survive trying to live with it everytime you drink water? dont even try, you need a seperate tank to house the freshwater fishes

It depend what kind of fish you want to put. There are some fish such as mollies which are compatible with fresh, brackish and salt water. They need to be acclimated slowly though.

The Quran mentions 'barzakh' which means a barrier. It separates salt water from candy water. The 'Barzakh' is incredibly no longer a barrier . that is in fact the choice . The waters are no longer forbidden to tresspass. candy water flowing from the rivers and salt water do no longer mixture in the present day yet finally they mixture. that is like once you pour milk in a cup of espresso they do no longer mixture quickly yet once you stir them they mixture.
