Do they still have music as a class in school these days?

We had music as a class from 2nd grade through the 9th grade when I was in school. Are students learning the classic songs like those by Stephen Foster?

I think Music in schools is increasingly becoming a lost art because of budget cutbacks. Too bad!

im still in high school and when i went through middle school we had a choice you can take chourus or you could be in band or something like that.. its still the same in HS.. but in elementary school i think they still have music class. lol
