This sounds like a little obsessive-compulsive behavior. Please discuss it with someone you can trust, you may need medication. I'm not saying that it is a serious one, but it may become one if you don't get some help. This is not normal.

I agree that this sounds very much like obsessive compulsive disorder. None of us can control what pops into our minds. God is not going to hold that against you. If you are afraid you have done something to make you lose your salvation then you can rest easy. If you are worried about losing it then that shows that you haven't lost it. If you were truly lost to God then you wouldn't care about being lost. The fact that you are concerned about it proves you are NOT lost. This is most likely due to a chemical imbalance in your brain. You are not crazy. Millions of people have OCD and they include doctors and lawyers and other very smart people. There are drugs that help most people a lot. Anafranil and Prozac and Paxil are a few that are used. They really help a lot of people. Don't feel like you are the only one that has these thoughts. You are not alone. Google obsessive compulsive disorder and read about it. You are in my prayers.

No, God won't send you to hell for it. You are being much too hard on yourself. Sometimes, the harder we try to forget something, the harder it is to get it out of our heads. When this happens, pray for strength and courage to handle it and ask God to take this away from you and your mind. Pray with faith and He will answer.

I also think that a chat with a psychiatrist would help you immensely. Why don't you make an appointment with your local doctor? Maybe see two doctors. He would direct you to a good psychiatrist. Have a nice day, and don't let Lucifer get away!

every one has doubts about their faith, whether they choose to or not

and who's honestly afriad of saying a name? i won't type it or anything, cause that'd be a little too mean and i'm afraid you might freak out.

bottom line: the ONLY person who has the power to choose is YOU, nobody can make it for you. so, don't think to much of it and move on with your life. (then again, i probably shouldn't be offering advice to you, see, i just don't beleive in any faith)

Maybe you should call your minister, pastor, priest, or whomever can councel you through your church. Another thing, get tough. The L word is going to come up in your life multiple times and it isn't him who is causing your fear, it is you. If you believe that it should cause you to fear, it will. That's how the mind works.

Get spelling help.

Don't worry about your God - there really is none.

Just be good - you know right from wrong - there is no need to require a fictional reason to behave.
