i seem to be running out of food and i feel the my fish is bored of the hikari food i feed them ;]
i always feed them peas and friuts too :]
what other treats do goldfish like? (do they like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and other stuff?

I switch the food around and keep several brands on hand for the goldies. They will like pretty much anything you feed them but it's best if you don't give them too much protein. They are natural grazers and do better without to much meat in their diet but a bloodworm treat every so often will certainly make them happy. You should try some zucchini and I've also found they're very fond of peeled grapes (they like the red ones better than the green ones)

Hikari is a very good goldfish fish food so don't be afraid to keep using it. Another good goldfish food is omega one in my opinion you should always buy sinking pellets so that way the fish don't get air from eating. Goldfish love brine shrimp and blood worms they are good as an occasional treat. Live brine shrimp is very good for a growing goldfish. Although you can buy freeze dried. You should also keep on feeding them the peas and fruit.

hi there, i breed orandas and my guys are spoiled rotten! i give them spinach, other greens, peas, omega one foods, blood worms, brine shrimp, they love eggs! just boil the egg and feed the fish the white. fruit is fine but should not be fed all the time because of the sugar. oranges are a great food. i also make my own gel food for them to with baby food and other stuff. go to kokos world they are a great site and they have alot of ppl there to help you with the care of your fish! im a member there hope to see you around the forum!(-:

I usually feed them just the goldfish flakes, and about every other day dryed shrimp (they love the shrimp :-) )

Orange slices, romaine lettuce and zuchinni seem to be appreciated by most goldfish. Bloodworms and other animal foods are ok too but feed them sparingly. Goldfish are omnivores but with strong herbivorous tendencies.
