Absolutely nothing
I am British so we have the national health service which is free.
When i lived in Holland i paid about the equivalent of $40 dollars a month which covered 100% of the cost.

About $175 every two weeks and my employer kicks in about another $125 for myself and my two grandchildren. I still have out of pocket expenses and no major health problems in my family. Health care costs are totally out of line.

I am lucky for now. I am fully covered through my job for eye and dental as well.

But before the job, I paid around the same for the very basic, no eye or dental. Basically covering 80% of any procedure.

Obviously I don't have a family to support, or else it would have been astronomical for the same plan.

I dont have any. I am a tax paying self employed single mother. I recently broke my ankle and couldnt afford the $400 up front to even SEE an orthopedist, so I had to let it heal on its own and pray I could walk again someday. It doesnt seem fair, does it?

Walking with a slight limp now...

eh... I pay around $60 or so, for just me... I think the company then pays like $130 more or something...

and I've been to the doctor like twice over the past 4 years with the flu both times...

~220 a month for my wife and myself. My company pays much much more.

Basically I pay 20 dollars for each visit no matter what I have done (office visit or 100,000 dollar surgery...just 20 bucks for me) and can go to pretty much any health professional and specialist without a referral.

That's really pretty inexpensive. I carry a few people at my business. Both are single and have no dependents. The others are covered under their spouses plans.

My cost for B/C B/S which includes dental and eye care is about 820.00 per month for these two fellows.

$0 - can't afford it. For a healthy guy in his early twenties, the shittiest coverage I could get through work was $120 a month.

Friend of mine was in the same boat I was, then she busted up her ACL while skiing. She can't afford the 20k for surgery, so she limps around and waits until it eventually heals on its own, though it could be years.
