Whomever you so wish!!!! It's your wedding and it will be fabulous! You can do it however you want and if you want some one to give you away then so be it! When you think about being given away who is the person doing it? Ask them first, if they can't then your bestest friend should step up! Where are you getting married? If it's hot I'll do it!

Women are given away not men, by their fathers it is symbolic of passing over his daughter to a man who will care for her as her father did. You need a 'best man' and another friend only. It doesnt' have to be a family member at all.
