I have this friend who never wears sandles or flip flops, in other words you never see her toes. Yesterday she told me that she was getting a pedicure, and I was like "why, whats the point if you never wear sandles?" she said it just makes her toes feel good even though she doesn't like to show them . I just think it's wierd, why get one if you don't show it off? Anybody side with me? or her?

I would say that if you are going to get a pedicure that you should show it! If you are going to spend all that money on it why hide it in shoes. (I love wearing sandals by the way) :)))

wow, some people are taking this question a little too seriously! lol.

It sounds like your friend likes herself first and that is a good thing. I think maybe she is a smart girl. Why should she have to impress others? She is probably willing to show them to someone special, but why everyone? Maybe she is more comfortable in non sandle type shoes? that should not mean she cant treat herself because other people do'nt know about it. That would be vain.

I can see it both ways. But I guess some people just like having nice feet and toes. For example, my mom and dad both get pedicures and neither of them wear sandals.

I get pedicures twice a month and never wear sandals, unless they're peeptoe wedges, but I just like to enjoy the treatment and she's the one who will be seeing them everyday. A little over exaggerating the matter i think.

Im on both sides. Some people just get pedicures so that they can get the dry skin off their feet and a massage. But i mean, i would show my feet too

Pedicures aren't just to make your feet look good in sandals. They help keep your feet in good shape by getting rid of dry skin & having the nails properly trimmed.

Pedicures are also a nice, relaxing way to be pampered.

That is her choice, you should respect that. If, she wants to get a pedicure, and not show her feet, that is fine. She said it makes her feel good. Then, that is good enough for me, and it should be for you. It is after all, her feet, her decision. Have a nice evening.

Well, do you shave your legs in the winter, when your wearing longer cloths to keep warm? Or maybe wash your hair even if no one will see you all day. Or put fingernail polish on your fingernails and then wear gloves??

It is a waste of money at one angle, but i can see why she gets them. It makes one feel good, pampered, and just taken care of. Kind of like when you wear expensive cute underwear. No one(or not many) sees them, But knowing you're wearing cute underwear..well it feels pretty damn good!
