Prepare a cleaning solution of either a capful of ammonia or four to six drops of liquid dish soap in 2 gallons of water or 1 cup of vinegar in1 quart of water. If using soap, use as little as possible to avoid streaking. Dip a sponge into the solution, allowing the sponge to absorb just enough water to cover the window without flooding it. Wash the surface of the window with the sponge, paying special attention to the sides and corners of the window frame, where dirt and grime tend to build up. Dip a squeegee into a bucket of clean water. Press the squeegee lightly into the surface of the window, starting at the top and pulling down vertically, stopping a few inches before the bottom of the window. Wipe off the squeegee with a paper towel. Press the squeegee down the area of the window directly beside the one you just cleaned, stopping at the same place.Wipe off the squeegee with a paper towel. Continue this process until the entire surface of the window except the final few inches at the bottom has been cleaned.Pull the squeegee horizontally across the bottom section of the window and wipe the squeegee off with a paper towel. Wipe off the water at the bottom of the window frame - where a great deal of moisture has by now collected - with a paper towel.

The good old fashioned way . With warm water a little vinegar & news paper. Just remember to wear gloves ,so you don´t get the ink from the news paper on your hands. Good thing about cleaning them this way is, No Streaks

I spray Windex (or vinegar/water if you're cheap) on them, and wipe up using crumbled newspaper or a coffee filter, which prevents lint. I've also found that the el-cheapo paper towels are better than the high priced ones if you want to avoid lint.

I use a spray bottle of vinegar and an old worn-out t-shirt. Other people use wadded-up newspaper instead of the shirt though, to avoid streaking.
