I'm just wondering because a lot of people do like it, and a lot don't. Also I'm doing kind of a survey. What would you rate it from 1-10? and (if you want) can you say why or why not you liked it?

Thankyou! :-)

haha well it's not a perfect movie (there's no such thing!) but they had some really good elements in it. I feel like they could have taken out some of the scenes that weren't needed as it's a long movie but it didn't really take away from the whole idea. The plot idea was amazing, and you could really feel the chemistry between Rose (Kate Winslet) and Jack (Leonardio DeCaprio). By the time they're in the water (and probably before that), you really seem to care about Rose and Jack because you feel like you actually know them. When Jack dies, it's a real tear jerker and it's so sad to watch him sink into the water, but without that moment, the movie wouldn't be the same and nearly as good. They chose the perfect piece of music for some of their scenes, and the most memorable example of this is when Rose (Old "present" day Rose) on the Titanic, drops the necklace into the ocean and the scenes proceeding after that. The music presents a feel good theme and really expresses how Rose is feeling on the inside, and how you should be feeling too. So overall, it's the classic must see movie that anyone should love. Why? Because of its amazing plot line, audio elements, actors/actresses and those tear jerker moments.

Five. The costumes & sets were wonderfully accomplished, but the screenplay was one cliched set piece after another.

We all knew what was going to happen to the ship in the end, of course, but did we have to be able to predict exactly what each of the characters was going to do throughout the entire movie?
