Tammy Faye Question?

I was talking with my friend yesterday about the television show "The Surreal Life" and was flabberghasted when the subject came up that Christian Television Evangelist Tammy Faye was involved in prostitution when she was at a younger age and was not known as a Christian celebrity. I find it a little hard to believe that this is true since she is a christian woman and I saw her on The Surreal Life Season 2 and judging by her endearing personality it just doesn't make sense to me. I think my friend is lying to me because I tried researching this on the internet and found no such rumor to be true. Does anyone know if this is true all or is my friend making up lies?

I have not ever heard such. Remember just because one is a christian now, doesn't mean they always were. She has been involved in the church since an early age. I think your friend is mistaken, but I could be wrong. As long as she has made it right with God, who are we to sit here and persecute.

I read Tammy Faye's autobiography and there is no mention of anything like that in there. She is not one to gloss over the bad points in her life b/c she believes it proves that God can work miracles in anyone. You may be thinking of her husband who slept around. Not with prostitutes, though...

I have never heard of it, I really do not believe it for the reason, yrs ago when ex{ jimmy} went to court and jail, nothing was ever said, at least mot on tv at the time.

I think it's not relevant now anyway. The woman is dying from cancer and weighs only 67lbs. To let her be would be the christian thing to do.

Maybe that is why she wears so much make-up, to hide her true face!
