they keep showing us hybrid cars that get 40 - 50 miles per gallon, but they're almost all compact cars.
my dad drives a 1991 geo that gets 49 miles per gallon. why would i get a hybrid that gets the same but no mechanic could work on around here. why can't they offer a 4 wheel drive or a full-sized suv that gets 50mpg?

Honda Accord Hybrid WAS not small
Saturn Vue Greenline is not that small
Ford Escape Hybrid is not that small either

That's a good question.

I had a 1990 Honda CRX HF that got over 52 on the highway, and it's a 4 cyl. It had a little get up to it, too. Ran about the same speed as a regular civic.

I think manufacturers are slacking on the innovation of things. Compact cars, non-hybrid, were getting what compact hybrids of today are getting...17 years later.

They need to get with it.
