What shades of colors are you using? Is it dark and serious or light and playful?

Are you happy with this work of art so far?

Metaphorically speaking.....my life is a moving painting (with subtle internal commentary)...

I had a dream once that I wrote a book (maybe it was of my life....for what do I think I know even the least about but the things I've experienced?)

Anyway, it was simple with the most eloquent of single line text at the top of each page.
The remainder of space was filled with dots of every color....every mood every depth...

As I read the text my peripheral vision picked up the images for fleeting moments like a shimmer across the page.

Ethereal and temporary. Timeless and magical......tinted with rainbows and neon fuzzies from beyond the veil.......

You know I paint, as an artist I do 'paint' my life for real....documenting landscapes and moods I have visited.....awarenesses I've glimpsed and colors I've meditated on until my hands are stained camouflaged and I'm not sure where the translation originated....Did the painting appear because I systematically wiped the reality away until all that was left was the image of memory.....

did it flow from the brush, my hand?...my arm, my mind?.....my soul?...was it whispered to my heart on a breeze from heaven?

Sometimes my canvases are serious, sometimes playful. Sometimes bright, sometimes dark. But, I hope, always original.

Artists create from life's experiences and they can not, nor should they, escape from it's influences. Am I happy with my life so far? I honestly don't give it a lot of thought. There are a few of life's speedbumps and setbacks now and then but they're easy enough to deal with as long as I can keep doing what I was meant to be doing.

Omigosh what an EXCELLENT QUESTION. You're absolutely right. My colours are very dark and brooding. Sad and too introspective. Definitely I need to lighten up - I like your 'light and playful'. Now what colours are light and playful? I guess yellow and soft pink and puffy white and glorious gold. Think I'll try to envision those wonderful pastels infusing my world. Now as to the work of art. Hmmmmmm - happy people playing on a green hill with a sparkling stream shimmering at the bottom of the hill. Sun glinting on the wavelets. Happiness abounds. Lightness abounds. Wonderful sounds abound. A wonderful lightess of being. Thanks for the uplifting visualizations.

I'm using very distinct colors that are sharply delineating the dark from the light. The painting is serious because my life depends upon many things. The only thing that makes me unhappy about this painting is that I wish I could paint faster.

my canvas would apparently start off with light clours,getting very very dark and then fade back into light colours...perhaps a large thunderstorm crossing Paradise........
Yes I am Happy with this work of art so far but hope to finish it as being Eternal Paradise that never ends

You said LIFE. Kaleidoscopic--& yes, I'm "happy" with it so far.

Edit: Loved soul shine's answer. When painting, literally, it's the sum of: The brushes, colours, surface of my palette, canvas, arm, hand, fingers--& my beautiful MUSE.

Plasma jet surface-sculpting Hasteloy C2000 plate, to be followed by titanium nitride ion-beam-assisted deposition. If is engineered to last it should be engineered to last forever.

It is both light & playful....with dark and serious overtones. I see it mostly in blue with dark edges

For the most part I would have to say light and playful. I consider myself as having a very healthy imagination and respect for life. If I see someone who looks like they heed a helping hand I will do what I can to help out and inspire them. I will provide lists of some of the works that I have created from my imagination:

I have often wondered to myself what it would be like to be in Heaven, and I have come up with a very interesting image of it!!

Now imagine yourself materializing into another realm/plain of existence beyond what we can detect in our mortal reality. When entering (Naturally as an angel), you feel totally weightless (With no pressure anywhere not even on your feet as if you are freely levitating in outer-space with total control over where you want to go "knowing that no harm of any kind will ever come to you", and being able to move at any speed, in any direction you wish, with still feeling no pressure). You then feel an infinite number of different emotions that are so mysterious and beautiful that are far beyond anything that we can even begin to imagine in our mortal realm. You then realize that you are totally cleaned of all evil thoughts, pain, etc. You also feel as if you are made entirely of the tingling sensation (A lot like the one you get when your foot's asleep), and feeling as if their is an infinite number of beams of pure white light going through your entire spiritual essence from all angles at all times. This would make one feel truly free/refreshed throughout every fiber of their spiritual being. Also being able to experience a countless number of nothing but awe inspiring sounds, positive/enlightening thoughts, sights/images, emotions, etc. Then you realize that you are hearing, seeing, etc, a complex mixture of all the positive/heavenly experiences of everyone their (Including yourself), so that every angel truly knows each others positives inside and out, without question (Both from their mortal lives and lives they are living in heaven). The visual sights/environment in Heaven would be a mixture of every ones positive experiences, thoughts and so on with everyone having true 360 vision (Sights/images beyond our mortal imaginations I am sure). You then feel as if you are truly a part of an infinite all knowing knowledge (Truly without question, being at one with God and everyone else their), feeling as if you are a part of a truly loving/pure, ever expanding consciousness (One massive mind of seemingly never ending knowledge that is continuously growing). Within this realm/Heaven everyone their will feel truly 100% whole/cleansed for all time...Is this what Heaven is really like??!!!...I guess only time will tell.......

Mysterious fog:
Imagine entering a thick blanket of fog (Taking you to a different reality) and when one enters it, the sights will be truly unbelievable!! For example within one of these blankets of fog one may end up in an area where every thing, and I mean absolutely everything inside (except for the air its self since it is already clear) will be made of colours that no one has never seen before (With no two things ever having the same colour) and the emotions that will be felt will be truly unbelievable. It will feel as if for your entire life you had been seeing nothing but black, white and gray with no shading, tones or textures then suddenly being able to see in colour with full detail in a wonderfully designed area with an immense amount of every known colour and several different shades of each colour throughout with no Black/Grey or white to be seen!!

This will truly leave one in such a heightened state of awe and wonder that they will not be able to even move for the first few minutes and also for the entire time anyone was there, they will also hear sounds that were beyond anything that could even be imagined that were always slowly changing to new ones. There will be a soothing moisture type of feeling throughout the entire area feeling as if it was actually going through and within a person's body and it will make one feel truly pure as if there was no such thing as negativity/pain or suffering and one can even feel calm wind going through their body and it will feeling as if one was starting to transform into an unknown form of energy. Also for the entire time one is there (with the 360 vision), they can see through their body as if it was not even there. What one will be looking at in this area will be a massive amount of crystal like objects scattered about both on the ground and even lodged in the air. Also within each crystal there will be several beams of slow moving light within and when they hit any surface point they will reflect off it but never leave the crystal. Each beam will slowly change colour at the same rate as the crystals.

Also, within this area/realm one can see as far as the eye can see and feel as if they are on another world or even plain of existence. As for the crystals they will each be slowly changing to a totally new and different colour. As for the so called sky (A beautiful set of slowly changing colour combinations), it's colours will make one feel an eerie sense of calm and this colouration was relatively dark making the other colours more visible. Throughout the sky there were several bright/visible stars and as for the ground there will be a carpet of what looks like oddly multicoloured show which in actual fact will be several strands of plant life and looking at them will make one feel as if they are ready to take on anything. There will also be several fire fly like creatures flying about each letting off their own mysterious colour. On top of all this, one will see a large amount of glowing creatures floating about moving in wavelike patterns that look a lot like strands of spaghetti (One could even try to take some of these spaghetti-like creatures back to Earth when they wish to leave the area and place them in a bottle so their glowing colours can be used as light so that the bottle will act as a lantern letting off an artistic array of several new colours). One will then begin to realize that there could quite possibly be an infinite number of different colours in this area that we could not see before. At times for a short while it will be raining with each drop a different colour totally new from everything else and I can tell you that you will have so many mysteriously eerie emotions going through you that you will feel as if you are truly a part of something far greater than any of us. Also, in this area you will also feel as if you exist only as emotion its’ self (As if you were made entirely of the tingling sensations that occasionally go throughout a persons body)!! After the rain there can also be a short shower of sparkles throughout and during the time they are coming down whoever is their will somehow actually know that this experience was only a mere tip of the iceberg compared to all the other wonders that are out there within other blankets of fog that will appear. They will also lead to other realms, etc to experience and boy you will need a few moments to recuperate from all this!!

These are but a few of my works and I for one LOVE to dive into my imagination and create my own realities where anything can be possible!!
