Well, you could start with the local register of deeds to see who the owners were and trace back the chain of ownership to when the house was built. Then you could cross check old newspapers to see if the house has made the news at any time.
I'll admit to being a little curious as to why you're looking for this information--was this house significant in Hawaiian history, perhaps having some connection to royalty?
