Maddy, see these people are trolls. Move along to somewhere poetry is appreciated. Not just things that start out "There was a young girl from Nantucket" I'll be in touch, you are very talented.

I haven't bothered to read what other people have written in respose to this, and I don't believe I've read any of your work, but I hope you take a moment to read this. I want to criticize a bit myself, not on your writting because I am no one to judge, but on your character. Now, I'm not God, so I really have no right, but that has never stopped me before. I don't let things stop me. Now, whether people are giving you constructive criticism or just being rude, you have to be able to get past that negativity and search to see if there's anything in what they said to help you better your writting. There is no such thing as a perfect writter. Perfect is unmeasurable. If you are passionate about writting and plan to go anywhere with it, you cannot let a few remarks stop you. Writting should not be for other people, especially poetry. Poetry is a way of expressing emotion in the form of a beautiful piece of art. No one can tell you your feelings are wrong. Feelings are neither right nor wrong. Feelings are powerful if spoken, but indifferent. Don't take the criticism you recieve so negatively. Take it with stride and use it. Use it to your advantage. If anything use it so one day you will prove those people wrong. Have faith.
