I have been having this discharge for about 1 year. I have been reading about it and I hear it is called a yeast infection. Do I have to have medication to cure this or can I just leave it alone. I just want it to go away.

could be yeast, could be bacteria.

bacteria usually has a sour odor.

You need to go to the doc and get diagnosed - he/she will prescribe what you need to get rid of it.

Yeast infections and discharge are way different... kinda. Just because you have discharge doesnt mean you have a yeast infection. Unfortunatly... It wont go away. Just buy some pantiliners . Those keep out the wetness. Good luck

First of all let me ask you why would you wait so long knowing that you're having discharge and not go to the doctor and get checked?!!!! That's ridiculous!!!!!

Ok first of all some discharge can be normal. However, if you're discharge is accompanied with itching, burning, and/or foul smell or an unusual color or texture, you need to see a doctor. You probably have a yeast infection. When it comes to infections, you need to get an antibiotic to kill the infection before it gets worse. Don't wait any longer. Go to the doctore as soon as possible.

This will not go away without medication. Please go to your Doctor, they have the best meds. You could also have something else, so make sure its just yeast. Dont treat this with otc meds. Since you know you are sensitive down there dont use anything like: powder, lotions, perfumes, and never use a douche. If you are sexually active, that person needs treatment to so you dont pass it back and forth. Both of you can use what Dr gives you. After Doctors treatment it usually doesnt come back.

Go to a doctor! Yes, there are medications that will help. You can also go to a drug store and find a home test that will tell you if you have a yeast infection or a urinary tract infection. If you do have either one, you need antibiotics to help get rid of it.
Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice.

(I just got over both of these. It is no fun, and if you let it go on, it will get worse.)

Good luck!

Do not leave it alone! When it comes to women health, you need immediate care! You need to take a trip to the clinic and let them know what's up. They will give you some pills or some suppository cream to get rid of it.

Left alone you can cause other problems internally. A year is a long time. Please go to a gyn. to be diagnosed and treated.
