Definitely Kobe Bryant. He is amazing. He has taken the Lakers to the playoffs 2 years in a row now. Of course, both those years they lost in the 1st round. Trust me, its frustrating. Kobe doesn't wanna lose just like KG doesn't want to. I respect Kobe's frustration and I dont blame him for anything. He's taken this team on the shoulder and nothing has come out of it. He's a GREAT player with a lot of talent and years left. He doesn't want to waste them. He's asking either to be traded or to get some new and good players. I dont want Kobe to leave. I love the Lakers and Kobe. This is his team for the rest of his career. The Lakers MUST definitely get some good players in the off-season. They need a good force inside (Jermaine O'neal is considered) and a good point guard (Jamaal Tinsley or Chauncey Billups are considered) if Lakers do get a good force in side and a good point guard, they have a great chance to get into the NBA Finals where Kobe will make people amazed.

Well, Tim, Le Bron and Kobe all have great skills. But your question was "Who is the best basketball player right now?"

There are players on the playgrounds of NYC that have more skills than any of these three - but just like Kobe, they lack the discipline and leadership abilities to LEAD a team to the NBA championship.

Kobe has more experience than Le Bron, and he's older, but Le Bron acts more grown up and is more capable of carrying his team on his shoulders, and having them WANT to follow him. Did you hear him speak last night after the game? He's more articulate and expressive than so many college graduates currently in the NBA.

Nobody is more fundamentally sound than Tim. Nobody. Also, the main reason that most people think that the SPURS are boring is because they never "take it up a notch". But look at why that is - at the tip-off, they all turn it up to 100% and leave it there until the final buzzer. Tim plays both ends of the floor 100% of the time that he's in the game. Most superstars "pace themselves" and don't give 100% on every play. He does ALL of his part and is a LEADER, and has done what it takes to get rings for people who play on his team.

Tim is the best basketball player right now.

This is very debatable and is open to a lot of interpretation. The obvious answer is Kobe Bryant. He's got an amazing game, and the experience that LeBron James lacks.

I think you would be foolish to not include Tim Duncan in this. He's easily the most consistent player in the league, and besides Shaq, and Big Shot Bob the only player playing with 4 Championship Rings. He is a 3 time Finals MVP and a 2 time NBA MVP. The guy is one of the best C/PF's to play in the league, ever and he's still got several years left in him, with a team that, as long as they stay together, will compete for the NBA Title every year. It wouldn't be surprising to see him retire with 6-7 NBA Titles and 5 or more NBA Finals MVP awards.

Kobe Bryant no doubt he can score and with more talent around him to relieve some pressure then he wont have to carry the Lakers all on his shoulders anymore.

A couple guess...he lives in San Antonio...He's 7ft tall...and he's the only person in the league that can make a bank shot from the post!

Kobe is hands down. He's got great all around skills, and he's money in the clutch. Improved attitude would make more people love him. if anyone says Shaq i will puke.
