Wat is it called when u take the letters from one word to create another word?

I keep havin this on my mind. Oki, so like when you take the letters from a word, mix them around and create another word that is totally different... wat is that called?

You are haunted by numbers especially 44. Were you supposed to catch a bus no 44. Were you supposed to post a letter 44 somewhere.
