NO he isnt! Alot of the complaining you here from other players is because they have never had a person take as much pride as he does on the defensive side of the ball. That is his job to frustrate and make it hard on his defender. He's the equivalent of a shut down corner...dont even think about going his way on offense!

YES, and I LOVE IT!! People hate Bowen because he puts the clamps your best player. He completely shut down Lebron and he's 36 years old! How come Lebron and the Jazz never called him dirty? Never heard it from the Nuggets either. It's ok Sun's fans, if there was a player that constantly took Duncan out of his game I would probably hate him too.
I wonder if 45 would ever get frustrated and headbutt Bowen like Vinsanity. Or would he elevate his game?

Bruce Bowen is a dirty player!
I know, I know... the sky is blue and water is wet. This is not really breaking news except that the sports media is afraid to say it because he comes off as such a nice guy (read: he speaks to the media).
We've had this discussion before on The Association followed up with a bunch of people defending Bowen's antics because he's an overachiever. Hey we all like the stories about the non-talented succeeding because of hard work and perseverance. Hollywood churns out 10 of those types of movies every year. It's the American dream!

Take Saturday night... in the first half of the Knicks-Spurs game, Bowen ran under a jump-shooting Jamal Crawford, increasing Crawford's chance of landing on Bowen's foot and rolling his ankle. Isiah Thomas was infuriated, drawing a technical foul for mouthing off to Bowen. I agree with Thomas's anger because Steve Francis injured his ankle earlier in the week from the exact same play against Bowen

I do not feel that he is a dirty player. Basketball was not originally intended to be the contact sport it has become. He just plays GREAT DEFENSE. I don't think any of these PROFESSIONALS would intentionally go out there and hurt or injure another player to the extent of keeping them out of a game or worse ruining their career. Please grow up this is not the play ground. These are grown men who if they really wanted to hurt each other, could do it.

Get your facts straight... he has NOT injured EVERY player. I don't consider him dirty, he's just GREAT at defense. And people don't seem to like that when their team is playing the Spurs. So, they go ahead and call him dirty. And no, he's not a jerk. My family has had the pleasure of meeting him. He's a good Christian man. And a great motivational speaker. Jerks don't make good motivational speakers last time I checked. Oh, and he loves his team :)

He has been playing grimy his finished carrer. Im shocked that somebody hasn't kicked his *** yet. Plus do you notice he constantly pulls a low-priced flow on the different communities superb participant to attempt and get him out of the sport so as that the Spurs can win?. I hate the spurs and that's why. they seem to be a grimy group ( different than Duncan and Parker). Makes you ask your self whether Greg Popovich calls Bowen to the side and says " take him out yet do no longer make it seem intentional"

He is a nice lockdown physical player who was instrumental to the Spurs defense. If you've seen how helpful Bruce Bowen was outside the court, you'll know he's not dirty.

If he were, do you think the coaches would have voted him #1 defensive player in the country? Would he have made the All-Defensive team 7 times? Don't think so. Do think they know more about basketball more than you.
He also happens to be one of the nicest people you could ever meet.
And for the lying little bimbo who claims to have seen him making out with 2 girls, his wife gave birth to his second son last Saturday.
