Looking for an Attorney in the state of Wisconsin?

I’m looking for an attorney to sue a school in Wisconsin for not giving me my Childs records. Under the FERPA Law I am entitled to see my Childs records under the Family Educational rights and Privacy Act, administered by the Family Policy Compliance Office. I originally requested my Childs records due to a bully issue at the school. After written request for the records the school sent my request to the school district attorney. The school district attorney then sent me a letter stating that under some old statue I was not allowed to see my Childs records. I have filed a complaint with FERPA but they sent me a letter stating that they have a backlog of complaints and they would get back to me as soon as possible. I know they will say that I can see the records but the school won’t let me. I would like to make an example out of this school. The school is so uncooperative and won’t even return my phone calls. So if anyone could help please let me know. Thank you

1. Go to every board of education public meeting and ask for the records during public discussion.

2. Contact the state bar association to find attorneys who specialize in educational disputes.

3. Talk to your local newspaper and/or TV station. Maybe you can get on their news.
