Call the pest control man and have your house sprayed!

On the Pest control aisle at Home Depot (maybe Lowe's also)they carry an electronic plug in pest controller. I got them about 3 years ago and we now Rarely every see a bug. Unless it flew in the door.

They plug in the wall sockets, we have about 6 for 3000 sq. ft.
It sends a slight vibration through the electric wiring and the bugs get out of the walls. We have had 98% success since buying them. The are about 5 to 7 dollars each. But no poisons in your house. They came in singles or 3 for $19.98. Previously I had found them at Costco. We have some that are at least 5 years old.

All of this is saying something since I live in Florida, where bugs never die. I hope this works for you.

Bugs are now making a part of you're life in the worst way. Unless you live in Antartica you have to understand! Most bugs are not to be feared and you have to adjust to them. Cockroaches are the best survivors. They can travel to the moon and back and be the better for it. I've had new neighbors move in down the street and if thier bellongings are infested -(or occupied) by roaches ,I have to go on the offensive to deter thier expansion into my home! A solid line of 'Roach proof'around the foundation of my home is but a first step towards a defensive/offensive strategy. Know your enemy and know how to dessimate it's advances.

The only way you get roaches in your house is if you bring them in yourself. I'm not being rude or funny, But most people get roaches because they hide in things you bring home like Boxes, Shopping bags (Paper) Used TV's radios & a lot of other stuff. Even if you have a friend who has roaches in their house they could unknowingly bring one in your house.
The problem is once you get roaches, It'd hard to get rid of them.

You don't say if you live in an apartment or a house, but one thing I noticed is no one mentioned multi-family dwellings. If you live in an apartment building (or a house of more than one family), it is important to treat all residences at the same time. The little buggers (pun intended) will run from the treated side to the un-treated side to "escape" then they will be back before you know it!
Good Luck!

Sounds like a sewer roach and came from your drain.... I would bomb the house. They sell the cans at your local grocery store or Walmart... Cheap. That stuff will find him. Then plug all your drains till you use them again, then plug again. It's probably the season or the city exterminated the sewers and these guys come crawling out. Those things scare me too and I wish you luck

doesnt matter how well you keep your house, roaches dont care if your a neat freak or a slob ! best way to keep them out is to keep your house sprayed every month like we do. it took almost a year to get rid of the little pests ! we still have our home sprayed on a monthly basis in order to keep all pests under control ! no more spiders, ants, roaches, all them little creepy crawly things are gone !

I second the suggestion of "Combat Gel".....do not get any other form, other than the gel. I own a low-income apartment building, we frequently have to get rid of roaches. This stuff is the only stuff that works. Combat Gel. Wal-Mart carries it. Follow the instructions. Don't let kids or pets eat it.

get roach tape and put it around all the walls of the house on the floor or call a pro to put a spray bomb in the house to destroy all the roaches, but don't wait to long if there is one it has to be more and they can add fast.
but don't be afraid they don't bite but they are dirty and they can add by the 100;s.

WHAT STATE DO YOU LIVE IN?

IF YOU CAN GET IT "ANT CHALK"

I know it says ant in the name, but roaches hate this stuff.

It is imported from China and is not legal in all states so make sure you check before you do use it.

Also if you have cats or dogs I suggest not using it. TOXIC STUFF.
