I always use soap to clean my fish tanks, just have to be sure you rinse it out real well. Glass isn't very porous, and the soap cant be deposited in the glass. So once its rinsed out well, you'll be fine

I used dawn soap once to clean a fish tank ( before I knew better) and rinsed it well with hot water. The fish I put in it were fine. Buy a few cheap fish and see how it goes.

Sure you can, that's not a problem at all. You can rinse repeatedly and wipe it out with a very clean cloth very well several times and when you can fill it with running water and see no bubbles at all and feel no soap left at all you should be safe and sound. I would be sure though to run carbon in the filter if possible for at least a few days just to be sure it's all out. No reason at all to replace the tank.

There's no reason to have to buy a new tank. If you scrub the tank with clean water, and rinse it out well, you'll have nothing to worry about.
