Dodger Stadium
Wrigley Field
Yankee Stadium
Fenway Park

All these stadiums are historic and have been the site of many memorable plays.

How can these people say that Dodger Stadium is not historic?
It is where the Dodgers became the first team to draw 3 million fans and have done more than any other team.
Also its the 4th oldest stadium and the second oldest in the national league.

The Dodgers have won 4 world series while playing at Dodger Stadium.

And you cant forget about Kirk Gibson.. greatest Dodger moment.

Never saw Ebbets Field but heard a lot about it. If you are going for stadiums not in existence anymore, you'd have to throw in Sportsman's Park in St. Louis, the Polo Grounds, Crosley Field, and Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.

As to stadiums still up right now, your order would probably go Fenway, Wrigley, Yankee, and then Dodger Stadium. It is somewhat of shame Yankee Stadium will be rebuilt soon, but one perspective is that Madison Square Garden has been rebuilt several times in different locations and is even being considered for a move one block over to improve Penn Station in New York.

Dodger Stadium will be around in fifty years. I think just the way it is built, and the fact it has become part of the fabric of Los Angeles, it would take a lot to replace it.

Well, Yankee, Fenway, and Wrigley definitely, especially since they are all currently still in use.

How did Dodger Stadium make the list? Even if you're a Dodger fan, it's no more historic than any of the other concrete stadiums of the 60's and 70's.

I mean, if you count Dodger Stadium, you have to count Candlestick, the Old Busch Stadiums, Comiskey, Veterans, Oakland, etc.

And if you count Ebbets, what about the Polo Grounds, Shibe, etc.?

I would add Candlestick to the list. Lots of history there.

Tiger Stadium.

It's where Joe D's 56 game hitting streak ended.
It's where Reggie Jackson hit that mamoth homerun off the right field light tower in the 1971 ASG.

It's where the greatest baseball player of all time (Ty Cobb) played for so many years.

You got off to a great start. Since you're including ballparks that are no more, I would also add the Polo Grounds (home of the NY Giants and the first World Series), Candlestick Park (another stomping ground for Willie Mays), the old Tiger Stadium (Ty Cobb, Hank Greenberg, and many more) and Comiskey Park. (Remember those embarrassing black shorts the White Sox decided to wear back in the 70s?)

I love the history behind Shibe Park in Philadelphia. The original dimensions at Shibe Park were 378 ft. (left), 340 (right), and 515 ft. (center). It was the only park that no one ever hit a home run in to center field. They later changed the dimensions to 334-L, 410-C, 329-R.

I like most of the parks that have their own identity named after the park. I'm really not a fan at all of these cheesy sponsored named stadiums at all.

American League Park in Washington, DC -- where the 1901 Baltimore Orioles, the team which would become the Yankees, had the first loss in franchise history, falling to the Senators, 5-2.
