I attempted to breed my babies and I did everything right but he seemed to go crazy and just keep attacking her. Since this was my first time I got worried about my lil girl and so I took her out.. He caused A LOT of damage to her tail and underbelly.. How do I know if she is okay?

Okay feisty.. I am talking about spawning. I wasn't asking about after care of the fry. I understand the responsibility of what I was trying to do.

Male and female betas don't get along with each other at all
As soon as she has laid the eggs you have to take her out anyway.

If she is swimming basically ok and can hold herself in a normal position in the water then she will be fine given time. It sounds like neither of your bettas were ready to breed. Be very sure both are well conditioned and the male has at least started a nest before trying them again.

If you need info on breeding bettas, feel free to email me.

If she has ALOT of damage then you didnt do everything right, What do you think is right? Did you have 50 bowls/jars for all the male bettas, Did you have 50-100 new homes for all these bettas... did you breed them in a 10 gal at least, did you provide cover, Did you condition them, Do you even know the ages of them, Where they the same size, And the list goes on,... I suggest you keep and eye on your female and dont attempt to breed them again.
