I know that your league (I'm Italian...) is funnier and fans are more passional, probably your league is also the richest in the world.
The Serie A, instead, is well known for being mostly based on tactics and strong defenders.
What do you think about it? Do you agree with me?
Sorry for my English!!!

sorry for the Manchester United supporters that have been beaten in Rome...but what about the Hooligans? Have you forgotten them?

for Frihah:
no I'm not. I was thinking about the Heysel tragedy in 1985. Now English supporters are much more disciplined than in the past.

Hard to say which one is better. English is definatly better to watch and has alot more strengh in depth! Italy has a better tradition for bringing through youngsters and buying talent from lesser football contries and devolping them. The money now in the english game is going threw the roof which will probably mean the league will get even stronger. In conclusion England for pure entertainment. Although Kaka is the best player in Europe right now!

Serie A is more tactical, and the Premier League is played at a much faster pace. I have been bored to bits when watching Serie A and La Liga matches after watching Premier League matches. 4 Serie A teams were penalized for match fixing, with Juventus being sent down to Serie B, so the Italian Serie A are not better than the English League.

In addition, the Premier League teams has more financial resources than most other teams in Europe, the best talent have been lured to the English League.

Three English teams played in last years Champions League semi finals.

Well look at Parma getting promotion in the 80s and winning the UEFA twice in the 90s.

Look at the Italian national team winning the world cup.

Look at the coaches to come from Italy like Capello, Lippi, Mancini etc

Then look at how the English league needs foreign managers to outclass other leagues in the champions league.

In the last two years an Italian manager has won the world cup, an italian manager has won the champions league, an italian manager has won the serie a & an italian manager has won la liga.

A scottish manager won the english league, a portuguese manager won the fa cup & a spanish manager was trying to win them the champions league.

Italy produces the best players and best managers, therefore surely the best football.

Once the crowd trouble get sorted out (and you can do that) what will the English complain about then?

Your style, your talent or your medals?

Forza Italia :-)

The two league is different but I think the english league seems to be a bit more anticipated, because the speed of the game, and result, the productive football. The italian league and the spanish league however is about the style and techique, the beautiful football. =]

They're seeked for different reason. Much more talented players feel more challanged to be in the Serie A and La Liga, and better strikers usually stays in the English league.

for not being the richest league in the world, serie a is really good and fun to watch. some of the best players come from this league and i like the style of play. im not too attracted to english soccer (sorry epl fans!) just becuase i like serie a and la liga better. as for the fans, both sides seem equally passionate and crazy. i do agree with you. and btw, who cares about the fixing crap. that was up top, not the players. the players are who youre watching and rooting for.

English people can feel better by keep saying about the fixed matches. why don't you take a look at the Brazilian football and how messy it is, that doesn't change the fact that they are the best. Start winning something without the biggest luck ever seen in a finale or without 32 dead people or with 2 goal right at the end, or something with black and white imagine. only in the last few year England started to keep their best player in England, the best Italian player ONLY leave Italy when they are to old and know that no team would pay them as much as before. Start winning and stop finding excuses.

You have answered this question for yourself. The English Premiership has more attacking football than defencive than in the the Serie A. I like to watch both leagues, ma mi piace molto a Rugby. As for your English, it is better than some of the English users on the site.

I think the premiership is better as it had more fast paced strong excitment in play it is the most watched and richest league in the world and they have alot good player's in the league's and you have to be very good to play in that league look at shevchenko the king of serie a comes to the premieship and get's taken apart and becom's a flop

the italian league is still good but its 3rd in the best league's as la liga is 2nd best league the serie a has gone down hill no offence but the play is rather slow and tight score's and with the match fixing it reall went down

1.the premiership
2.La liga
3. seria a
