My guy (whose history I was aware of prior to us becoming serious) is attracted to/has dated pre-op transgender "woman". He thinks he is straight because they live as "woman" everyday and he has no desire to be with a biological man. I am a biological woman. He says he doesn't discriminate. Is he bi or straight?

Sorry about not knowing the lingo. So transgender means no surgery and transsexual means surgery. So with that bit of info. What would one consider him...because bottom line, the person still has a penis.

I'm sorry, honey, but that's a category all by itself. It's been years, and I still haven't figured that one out yet. I've met plenty of macho he-men types who would rip off your head and s!!t down your neck, if you ever even SUGGESTED that they sleep with another guy. But show them a girl with "something extra" and they get intrigued, even turned on. I've known several Marines and other soldier boys who briefly dated pre-op TS.

Maybe it works as some kind of a safety net - where you can have sex with a guy, but not really, so therefore you're not "gay". It doesn't make any sense to me, either, but whatever floats your boat.

In any case, is this a relationship that you plan on getting into seriously or not? If I were you, I'd ask him that question, and just treat the situation as if you were dealing with another woman. So who does he want to be with - you or her? The "bi" or "straight" thing kind of takes a backseat, when you think about it that way.

He very well may be straight and just more open minded than a lot of straight men. Even though the previous relationship was with a pre-op woman, doesn't mean that he acknowledged the parts of her body that were not womanly. Most men who date transgender women still consider themselves straight, this is very common. I wouldn't say that he was bi if he is not attracted to men, and it sounds like he is open minded enough that if he was attracted to men he would just come right out and tell you.

There's no such thing as a 'pre-op transgender woman'; transgendered people don't have surgery.
If your boyfriend dated a *transsexual* woman, he is straight; she's a woman.

He is STRAIGHT! He is not into guys, he likes transgenders, who live life as women. They aren't quite women but they are in the process of being one. As long as the sexual acts are as a man and woman, then I believe he is straight.

If he identifies as straight and he viewed his previous relationship as being with a woman, then yes he is straight.

If he were in reality bisexual, he would be attracted sexually to both men and women.

i think of persons are bisexual from any age. yet i think of it turns greater into the two quickly or gay with the aid of the time issues have calmed down of their existence, and that they p.c. in the event that they want to have infants and such. I used to think of i grew to become into purely quickly. yet now that im sixteen, I knew whilst i grew to become into around 14, i'm bisexual. So...idk
