they were awesome not the best but 1 of them!!!!!!

No they are not but they are clearly top 5. They are not the best at any main part of a band. They are not the best songwriters, that would be Bob Dylan. Keith Richards is not the best guitarist, that would be Hendrix. They do not put on the best show, that would be Hendrix, The Who. They are not the most influential, that would be The Beatles. They are very good in every aspect of the band but are not the greatest of all time. Could you image if Jeff Beck actually took the offer and been part of the stones, that would have been incredible.

Who the Bleep stated they have been the final rock band ever? they're ok. They have been lots extra suitable interior the 60's. They make their money traveling. they have not got the vast numbers in checklist revenues like they did interior the 60's and early 70's. it fairly is the information! you elect for good difficult drivin and organic rock & roll? Then AC/DC is the band!

Where they deserve respect is longetivity. Just the fact that the young people on this board know who the heck they are is a testament to what they do right.
Most young rockers do an album or two with one or two hits, cry about the money or control and break up. Can't say that about Mick, and company....

Not in the least, I enjoy a few of their songs but there's SO MUCH better stuff from that era.. They are pretty much like aerosmith, a good rock n' roll band that's damn good at what they do but in the end are just that. Great bands, but I would never put them in any 'best of the best' categories though.

Well, I do agree that they are very awesome. I LOVE the Rolling Stones.
I couldnt say that they are the best ever. I couldn't say that about any band! (With the exception of Led Zeppelin.)
They are awesome though.

Maybe they were thirty years ago, but their last decent album came out when I was in college, and that was in 1981.
It's really time for them to pack it up.
Theres a lot better music than that around!
