I have only had sex once, and I don't know if my hymen is broken or not. I don't know if it bled sometime when I'd inserted a tampon, or not, because the first few times I did it, I put it in wrong, and it was sore. I had my first period 6 years ago, so I don't really remember it. But 3 weeks ago, I had sex with my boyfriend and I didn't bleed, but I'm on my period now and putting in a tampon really hurt for me. What are indicators that my hymen is broken? (I don't know my mother, my grandmother is very old-fashioned, and most of my friends are men.)

inserting a tampon will not break your hymen so stop worrying.

if it was uncomfortable then i suggest that you wait untill you are into the second day of your period when there is more lubrication to help make the insertion of a tampon easier and it will be less uncomfortable for you.

as you have now had sex then yes your hymen will be broken and not all women bleed

Chances are, if you have had sex, it's broken. Go to a doctor to be sure.

According to this site you must see your doctor and he/she would be able to tell you.
