Last night I watched a split screen of Tony Snow's speech
from 3 months ago, & one from yesterday.
3 Months ago he said firing the 8 lawyers had nothing to do
with politcal affiliation.
Yesterday, he said no one ever said it didn't have to with
political affiliation.
Doesn't anyone tell him there is video of every word he says?
Can someone explain to me how some people can still
take some of our politicians & O'Reilly seriously, when it's
so easy for researchers to show tapes of them, obviously,
contradicting themselves.

Elway, LOL, I think I've seen most of
what you're talking about.
What these people will say, with the
greatest of ease, will never cease
to amaze me.

They could put together a 6 hour marathon movie of these examples from Bush, Cheney, Snow, any of them and still have enough left over for two or three sequels. I used to clog up my notebook with all the contradictions, but there are so many I stopped bothering. It's way too easy to do a quick search and come up with a long list of them to choose from when needed.

Botoxx Boxer. That hack politician has been mis-representing California for too long. Here we are wanting a new future and the democrats have locked up ownership of California and we can't break free of the typical Democrat tax and spend. Its time for change. I not only want to see Harry Reid out too, but I want him dead and buried for all the crap he has pulled against the American people. Of course as many Democrats out as possible is good. Too many lazy people out there have no clue what history has shown in regards to Democrats owning all 3 branches of government. It has happened 3 times now and every time its been a disaster for the country. I can't help people being stupid or lazy, but they can at least stop talking smack and voting for the wrong people

It all comes down to the fact that politics are a joke in itself. Anyone who believes anything these politicians say are in a fog. It doesn't matter which party line you are talking about, they both are never going to take the American people seriously. We let them get away with the lies, the misdirections, and the private agendas over and over again. It's time for the people to start voting on other party lines. You may think it is a waste of a vote, but if you vote for a big name on a smaller line, it give campaign money to those smaller lines. Eventually those line will be big enough to run its own candidate. No one does this because it's wasting a vote. We the people have to turn the tides, the politicians never will.

There really isn't a need for any public figure to remain consistent on any issue. Americans are just too lazy to remember what was said and proclaimed to be true just last week. All that matters is what the newly revised version of the "FOX truth" is being spewed forth right now.

I have no problem with thoughtfully considered position changes on the addition of new evidence, but direct contradictions solely for political purposes annoys me no end. The problem is knowing which is which. That's where trust levels have to come into play. I don't trust the Bush administration.

The neo-cons (not Republicans per se) think the American people are not intelligent enough to put it together. And are convinced they can "spin" any inconsistancies.
Given the fact we were stupid enough to elect GWB--twice--you can see way they think that.
And they don't need to worry about the neo-con followers. As you can see on these boards, they seem incapable of doing anything but parrot what they're told to think.

I assume you'll admit you've seen the same thing with the Dems flip-flopping in comparison to their past comments as well.
