I'm willing to believe there have been presidents with worse approval ratings, but 29% has got to be close to the record

It's pretty low but I think, and I could be wrong, that Truman had a lower one at some point.

Polls are not scientific and not relevant. The main stream media use polls to create news. They conduct a poll with biased questions. Use bias when they tally the information, then give a biased slant went they report in the news, that they took a poll and came up with some results.
At the start of the Civil War, one half of the North was opposed to war. Everyone in the South opposed President Lincoln. So his approval rating was maybe 25%.

Jimmy Carter's Presidency was a disaster. He was voted out of office in a landslide. George H. W. Bush was also quickly voted out of office after one term. I am sure their poll numbers were low. The amazing thing: G HW B poll numbers were at 94% during the first Gulf War.

No body knows, They didn't do surveys during most of our other presidents terms. Matter of fact, I don't remember ever hearing or seeing Clintons approval ratings all over the place.
Until after his presidency. So when exactly did they start keeping track of it?

Nixon went down to 24% after Watergate. Carter's lowest was 34% and of the rest only Johnson went below 50% with a rating of 49% disapproval.

29% is the all-time record. It's lower than Nixon's at the height of the Watergate scandal, and three times lower than Clinton's during the Monica Lewenski scandal.

And to the one who said Congress's approval rating was 10% under Bush; that's only for the FOX News and Gallup Poll's numbers. Use something else besides propaganda.

It's third-lowest.

Truman was lowest at 22%.
Nixon was close behind at 23%.
Carter and Bush are tied for third at 28%.

Abraham Lincoln was at 13% at the end of his first term, the only reason he was re-elected was because he got all the electoral votes, they just threw out the people votes. good thing huh?

You people (democrats/liberals) are too funny. As I recall, you voted Hitler as most popular "Man Of The Year" in Time magazine... Going with what's popular is easy. Lincoln's popularity was low too. And, he too was a Republican.
