In my family, women never passed gas around other people...if they had to do it, they did it in the privacy of the bathroom...I married into a family where it's as common as hearing guys belch in a bar...I have never been able to make myself OK with it...

It's normal for you to have trouble with it if you were raised that way, but it is a fact of life. It's really bad for you to hold it in. On the other hand, you don't want a lady sitting all spread leags going Corrrr! Get a whiff of that! I guess you'll just have to make your peace with it =)

OMG...this question made me laugh so hard!! In our family, it is like a free-for-all...with the exception of my daughter...she is the odd one...she refuses to even ACKNOWLEDGE that her body produces gas!! My son, on the other hand, is usually beamingly proud of his!

I have a friend that does it around me all the time. It's funny, because she doesn't care. It's as normal as breathing.

My husband and I do, in front of each other. And the rest of my family. I think it's just cheap entertainment for us.. lol..

It's a normal bodily function. I do have problems with it, but if something happens it is only normal.
