Depression is laying on the couch looking depressed. Laziness is laying on the couch looking lazy, with a bag of chips and a pop.

guess what even a depressed person can be lazy and a lazy person can be depresses...
so how do you tell the difference, I guess you have to look deep into their eyes, and maybe put a pizza a few feet from them on a table...no wait that may not work either...OH wait yes it will, the lazy person will try everything not to get up off the couch to get t hat pizza to them, like stretching their arms and legs out, throwing stuff at the box in hopes a piece of pizza will come flying at them, but the depressed will just stare are the pizza and cry...
so that is medical break though..the PIZZA METHOD of defining Depression...
good luck

Could be a very the same. Maybe the person is lazy because they're depressed, or they're depressed because they're lazy.
