First off American Idol is for people between 16 and 29, so chances are Louis wouldn't get to try out. Simon doesn't randomly tell people they can't sing. He tells people who have absolutely no talent they can't sing. You would think some of the people who try out would have heard that they should be pursuing other areas in their lives from friends or family way before they got to the audition stage of a TALENT search.
