I know she deserves to go to jail but I just wish she had gone to jail for something that is more of a crime because if any normal person had been driving with a suspended license, I doubt they would have went to jail.

Before all you get mad and start attacking me, I am NOT defending Paris Hilton. I just think it's a little unfair.

Here is what her sister, Nicky said(and I agree with her).
"What's annoying is all these people are going on television saying that she was drinking and driving," said Nicky. "She's not in jail for DUI. That's a big misconception. She's in jail for driving on a suspended license, just like the (City Attorney's) wife was. ... She got a $186 fine."

(On the day he sought more jail time for Paris Hilton, Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo acknowledged his wife got a traffic ticket two years ago while driving with a suspended license. She received the ticket – and the $186 fine – for failing to obey a turn-only sign, but wasn't ticketed for driving with the suspended license).

Oh heck no!! I said it before and I will say it again...she broke the law, she violated her probation and she COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE. She deserves to be in jail, and she should have gotten a more stricter sentence then 45 days!!
I think the media probably makes it out to be more than what it really is, but when it all comes down to is that she was wrong to go against her probation, and drive with a suspended license. What if she had hit a child and the child died? She would be the same as that Rebecca Gayhardt actress, even though that girl just wasnt paying attention. She wasn't drunk like Paris was.
Paris needs help, she need sto realize that being a wild party girl is not helping her, and she needs to stop sleeping with every guy she meets. If she didnt dress like a whore, if she actually worked for her money and not had it handed to her by mommy and daddy, she wouldnt be in bad shape. But she has got to stop playing the dumb heiress and act like a mature young lady. 12 year olds act more responsible than she does.

She went to Jail for driving on a suspended... that never happens for your 1st offense in my state. So even though I'm not a Paris fan I'd say they went a lil over-board with her punishment. She is Paris Hilton so she will always be treated unfairly by the media whether she is in jail or not.

No she is not being treated unfairly.
She was CONVICTED on a DUI charge. given Probation- requirements of probation compliance
1) attend court mandated classes within a 90 day period
Did she comply - No, She thumbed her nose at the judge's order- violation 1
2) Don't get in any trouble with the law for 3 years. Did she comply- No, she violated probation 2 times. The first stop she could claim ignorance about the suspended license but the 2nd stop with the suspended license no excuse at all.
total violations- 3
The media and her sympathizers have made it seem as if she is being treated unfairly because of A violation and she isn't even doing the time she should for 3 violations.

Not at all. She committed a crime, and was sentenced to a punishment well within the extent of the law. Any other person in her situation would have been assigned the same - or similar - punishment. She had the option to be granted early release for good behavior, same as other people.

What was unfair was that the sheriff took it upon himself to grant her "house arrest" after only four days - this sort of special treatment wouldn't be granted to most people, and not without the approval of the judge. The judge was perfectly right to send her back to jail.

i think now that she is back in jail, she is serving more time than she would have, had she stayed. but i think she is getting what she deserves. there are thousands of people with AIDS, cancer, pregnant women, etc. in jail everyday and the sherriffs dont let them go home early so i dont see how paris got let out in the first place due to a nervous breakdown. you dont think half the people in jail are having nervous breakdowns??? so no, i dont think she is being treated unfairly.

Absolutely she is being treated unfairly. An article came out today and the judge who sentenced Paris has a wife who was caught last year driving with a suspended license. What was the judge's wife's punishment? $168 ticket. That's it. So who's being treated unfairly?

you know, Paris deserves what she got. Just because she is Paris Hilton doesn't mean she should get off easy. I think publicity part sucks, but hey, you wanna be in the spotlight you pay the price sometimes.

Uh NO! When 'unfamous' people make mistakes like she's made, we would deal with the consequences, too. I can't stand it when celebrities take advantage of their status, and believe they can get away with everything! I think she and all those other teenage hoochies should all be in a cell for a while, at least until they can straighten their act out.

The only thing unfair was the fact that she was let out after only 4 days. I'm glad she went back. Any of us would be spending our entire sentence at the jail. She needs to be there. She thinks b/c of who she is she can get away with anything. She needs to be shown that is not the case.
