The baby has to eat and anyone who finds offense to this really need to seek counseling in regard to why they are so uptight in life.

i don't see why it can't be acceptable its just a natural way of life that's how you were fed when you were little. but for me I'm a very modest person so lets say I'm in the mall I'll just go in to the sitting area of the restroom and breastfeed there with a blanket covering and stuff just so people don't have to look at my breasts but i think women would be ok with it . but lets say I'm in the restaurant like Micky D's i would a) already have a bottle ready or b) go out to the car feed the baby there . well i hope this helps somewhat but with the scerno you gave above a ) i highly doubt you would caught in that situation but you are just concentrate on what you are there for. if all else fails if it still makes you feel uncomfortable just leave and find a different seat or bring a book lol well hope this helps

Goodness me. Some people are going on like the women have nipple tassles on and are squirting their milk all over the place while their breastfeeding. I totally support it. I've seen loads of women do it and have yet to actually see a breast. Anyone with children knows that bottle feeding is more hassle than its worth (although I don't take anything away from people who prefer or have to do it this way). Bottle warmers and all that malarkey while out and about must be quite stressful. If I was to breastfeed I would dare anyone to come and say something to me about it. Everyone has to eat and I would NOT be feeding no child in a toilet to spare anyones blushes. If anything if it bothers them so much then they can feck off into the toilet and eat there. Sorry but this really gets my goat.

If your in a restaurant then I presume you're there for a meal so why can't a baby have theirs. I see nothing wrong in breast feeding in public it is the most natural thing in the world for a woman to have a baby to the breast. If more women did breast feed in public then wouldn't less notice be taken of it.
Lets face it there are far worse acts to be seen in public these days.

Breastfeeding is socially acceptable anywhere and anytime that the child is hungry and needs fed. In most states, it is legal to breastfeed anywhere and anytime.
Why would you feel the need to look away? When the baby is on the breast, you can't see anything anyway. Why not look the nursing mother in eye?

I haven't breastfed my 2 children - my personal choice, and NO it doesn't make me a bad mother - nor did I not bond with them as well either!
I don't have any views on it really - I personally don't find it offensive but choose not to do it, mothers who do want to breastfeed their babies have every right to do so, they are discreet when out anyway and you shouldn't have a problem of where to look as you don't really see anything - I think you would be more embarrassed than the mothers.
What would you do if it does indeed become Law?

Most women who breast feed are discrete, I have no problem with it, obviously if a woman is breast feeding and being indiscreet to the point of being obscene then that's not cool. I personally can't stand the sight of 4 year olds breast feeding - it looks soooo wrong - but in many cultures it perfectly ok.,

Baby cries because it is hungry, the baby is with his mother, she pulls out her breast and proceeds to feed her baby, where ever the baby may need to be feed. The problem with breast feeding is your problem, but it is natural and socially acceptable. God Bless.

Breastfeeding is ALWAYS socially acceptable. It's a bonus if the woman is discreet (covers with a cloth or something) for the consideration of those around her who may be embarrassed, but it isn't required.

It has never bothered me. I used to love watching my wife breastfeeding our children, I found it very relaxing. I have seen people do it in public places and as long as it is not done in some exhibitionist way it is quite natural. One does not have to look the other way, just don't stare, which is considered rude at any time.

I think women should just cover their breast area while feeding their baby out in public. They shouldn't just whip it out in front of everybody, because there are too many sick perverts and children out and about.
