KC V: I am a former police officer so your fascist attitude does not impress me.

In Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Wyoming the case would not have been prosecutable because Wilson would have also been below the age of sexual consent.

In places like Colorado, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas and others, he could have defended himself due to the closeness of their age.

In Georgia, the girl was only months away from being able to conset legally, and the evidence shows that she was consenting again and again in the case in question.

The prosecutor is not protecting anything except for his own misguided ideals. It is just another case of overreaching prosecutors out of touch with reality, like Mike Nifong, who will at least get his just desserts.

Age of consent laws are completely arbitrary and have no basis in biology, psychology or any rational criteria. Legislators just pull them out of their asses...

therefore zero tolerance prosecution is completely uncalled form.

When the judge, members of the jury, the legislator behind the law and the mother of the victim all support the release of Genarlow Wilson, it is time for the government to get of their high horse and remember who runs this country - the People

Actually...no...he's black! Mr. Baker has fought to protect Georgia's children by proposing and successfully passing legislation that increased penalties for child pornographers and closed loopholes in our child pornography laws. Mr. Baker's tough anti-crime record has earned him endorsements from law enforcement officials across Georgia.

If I'm reading between the lines correctly...it's my opinion that you're attempting to say that the governor is incorrect while attempting to seek justice in the case you cited.

Just so you know...it doesn't matter whether or not the act was consensual! Because the female was a minor under the age of 15 the law in every state stipulates that such a minor is incapable of making a sound decision to engage in such an act with maturity...therefore there's the threshold of a specific age of which a specific sexual act is considered "consensual."

Nice try....but I think you need to quit jumping to conclusions based upon a persons ethnic background!!
