Yes, at least a couple bucks. They put the order in , check it, bag it up, and have it ready for you. Its common courtesy.

Not if it's a simple order. Like two meals and I went in the place to pick it up. Carside, then I tip $2. But if family's in town and there a million boxes, then I tip $10-$20 because I know how much work is involved in getting orders ready while also having to box things up for to-go's and serve the seated customers.

Yes, you should tip on a to go order. As a server myself I get irritated if I don't get tipped on one. For starters I have to take time away from my tables I am waiting on in the restaurant to answer the phone. Then I have to put the order in as I am taking care of other orders and I have make sure when the food is ready it has to be right. Then bagged and processed. All the while I could be taking better care of my tables that are actually tipping me. I not asking for a lot I do appreciate a couple of bucks for the time taken away from the tables in my section.

I don't tip on to-go orders unless it's a large order.

Usually there's a couple of people who put the order together, and tipping only $2 or so isn't enough for them to share.

The cooks who put the order together are probably all making $6.00 or so at minimum wage.. so I don't think it's a big deal unless it's for about 7 or 10 people or more.

No, you tip only on what you ate there and what was served to you there. It's not fair for you to tip on a to go order for example if you order something for 3 other people you wouldn't want to give 15% of that

Yeah i usually do. I mean unless you order something thats like 2 dollars then no. But usually, if its an order of food over $10 or so yeah i do. Not alot, but but its nice if you do. Of course you would tip alot more if you are dining in, but they still get everything ready for you.

Yes, the person that took the order and bagged it doesn't get paid extra for your order. They only make $3.00/hr or so. You don't need to tip a lot, but 10-15% is nice.

Nope, the tip is for the wait staff waiting on you and unless it's carside service, I don't tip on to go orders.

I generally dont. I know they dont make a lot of money, but if I have to go in then they have not done anything. If they bring it to my car I give them like a dollor or 2
