hello I have had two gouramis I think that they are opaline they are big gals. Anyway they keep spawning and nothing happens because according to the petshop they are both ladies. Anyway I think the clawed frogs may eat the eggs yum caviar. Anyway I am wondering if I could consider them a boyfriend and if so how many. The girls have a roomy ten gallon home which they share with two small african clawed frogs and two tiny chinese algae eaters. But I am open to the idea of adding another tank to my collection. As that would probably be needed to keep the fry from getting eaten. Thanks everyone.

A second tank will be needed eventually, just to separate the animals you have already. The Chinese algae eaters will grow to about 10" each, and the African clawed frogs to about the size of a baseball (and they eat fish).

I would only get a single male as these will be territorial, but only if you want to breed them. They're perfectly fine without having a male in the tank, but you're right, you'll eventually need to separate the fry to raise them.
