I guess my grandpa like Roman names and my dad just pass on the tradition. But none of my children or my cousins have Roman names.

I wonder how did my great grandfather come up with that name Maximillian Elliott? I never did able to find out because my grandpa has pass away 10 years ago. I should have ask but never thought about it until now. Does anybody know Jennifer Love Hewitt's phone number? I need a ghost whisperer.

Very ancient names. You know, like Ancient Roman (Augusts, Octivius) or Ancient Greek (Athena, Alexander). Very interesting, not something I would pick, but very cool all in all! Were you parents scholars or how did you get your names?

Well, your family seem to be very interested in ancient Rome and Greek myths and in ancient British ones. I think your grandfather was that person, because his sons all have Latin names, and your father mixed this Latin names up with Greek god (Athena, Artemis) and used to name your brothers in the Latin way. But you are either to eldest or the youngest brother and either your father wanted to give you a name besides the Latin tradition or he didn't know any Latin names at least and deceided for some ancient British ones ;-)

Merrick Greywolf - me (so unique, I like Merrick, but not Greywolf so much)

Augustus Alexander - brother (like it, sounds like a prince name)

Bruticus Clementine - brother (soo different and weird. Sounds like a villain)

Octivius Adrian - brother (I really like it, specially Adrian, sounds like a sweet person)

Athena Artemis - sister (love it, sounds like a sexy name)

Udonna Sierra - sister (don't like Udonna, but love Sierra. it sounds like a horse name)

Maximus Constantine - dad (gorgeous name, a king's name)

Marcus Claudius - uncle (nice, also a noble person's name)

Gladius Maximo - uncle (I don't know about Gladius, it sounds a little gayish)

Aurelius Neo - uncle (it's all right, Neo is too weird)

Maximillian Elliott - grandpa (great, strong name, I picture strong man)

i think Roman, strong, lasting etc.

i love Roman names, and of all those I've actually used some of them:
Maximus
Claudius
Brutus (short from of Bruticus)
and i used Augustus (the name Octavius changed his name to when he became emperor).
I've also used the names:
Colossus
Justinian
Titus
Hadrian

...but i gotta tell ya they are all names i used for FISH! lol Bettas actually, and Roman names are most appropriate for those feisty little fishes!

To Kayla:
you "princess" have a soap opera name so i wouldn't be turning your nose up at his dear. At least Roman names command strength and respect...while your name Kayla sweetie..is nothing but fluff for day time shows.
