How many months of groceries would a family of 4 in Hyderabad, India be able to purchase with $2500 US dollars

*Side Notes:
Someone I know is wanting to outsource an IT project out to India and we want to know what $2500 US dollars will be in India economy

For instance - $100 US get you a really nice dinner for 2 with appetizers, meals, alcoholic drinks, and desserts at a nice restaurant in most of the USA - What does $100 (which is around 4,000 rupees) get you in India?

Or really what does $2500 US worth of rupees get you in India.

USD 2,500/- will take care of groceries for a family of 4 easily for more than a year.

An easy way to understand is to compare the prices of common commodities, say a bottle of Coca Cola costs about Indian Rupess 10 in India, and a typical meal for 2 in a decent restaurant costs around Indian Rupess 1000.

It is really difficult to give you an idea of how much groceries the dollar can buy here as it depends on the region you are in and the lifestyle you are aiming for, but I hope the above gives you a fair enough idea.
